Akal's 401k Plan Summary and Enrollment Information is available at the link below. This information is for all employees who participate, or are eligible to participate, in Akal's TD Ameritrade 401k Plan.
The following one page info sheet explains distributions (when they are available, how their age affects taxes/penalties, etc). This sheet applies to all Akal and Coastal participants.
Please note there are some unique instances when withdrawals can be taken without a withdrawal penalty (for instance disability). Because those are rare, we chose not to reference them on this sheet. There is also a tax notice that participants receive with the distribution form. If you run into any unique situations, please contact our provider.
With the death in the line of duty of an Akal Employee, CSO Stanley Cooper of Las Vegas, on January 4, 2009, Akal is providing all our employees the opportunity to talk confidentially to a company provided counselor. Akal is concerned about the well being of every employee as we each work through the issues raised by this event in our own way. The service is free and voluntary. It will provide short term counseling and referrals for other counseling needs if requested by the Employee.
The toll free number is available to every employee. To set up a call the employee can call 877-715-2440. The counseling service will arrange a time to talk with the employee.
The service is provided by Lombardi and Associates who have contracted with Akal to provide this support. The counseling is totally confidential and Akal won't even know that you are using these services. None of your information - including your name - will be shared with anyone without your written permission. In accordance with applicable state laws, exceptions must be made for certain reports of child abuse or significant threats to your safety or the safety of others.
To use this free service please call the toll free number above and identify yourself as an employee of Akal. The operator will take your name and number and arrange to have a Counselor call you back as soon as possible or you can arrange a time to be called if that is what you wish.
