CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Capture Manager, Business Development Center (BDC), Albuquerque, NM

DESCRIPTION

  • Executes Capture Management strategies for specific opportunities/pursuits throughout the Shipley opportunity life cycle, as assigned by the Vice President of Business Development.
  • Capable of managing multiple pursuits at the same time. Manages opportunities from pursuit decision to delivery of the proposal. Leads development of the capture plan that leads to a winning solution. Plans and manages customer interfaces..
  • Defines and manages approved capture budget for each pursuit. Collects and accurately/objectively presents the opportunity/pursuit business case at management reviews to facilitate good business decisions by management.
  • Oversees transition of the capture plan into the proposal management plan and mentors proposal team on win strategy and solutions. Is heavily involved in all project reviews and participates in Pink, Red, and Gold Team reviews.
  • Clear, neutral, steady communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in business development, to include customer relationship building, competitor analysis, business intelligence gathering, and proposal preparation on contracts with over $5M in annual value.
  • Education requirement may be waived if candidate has more extensive experience.
  • General knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Must be able to complete and pass pre-employment background investigation and drug screening test. Applicants selected for this position will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Proposal Manager, Business Development Center, Albuquerque, NM

The Proposal Manager reports to the Director of Business Proposals. The individual facilitates the entire proposal development life cycle from opportunity qualification to post-proposal submission. Key Senior success factors include the ability to plan and manage a schedule; commitment to on-time performance; experience developing and managing proposals; management of internal and external resources; coordination of inputs, reviews, and strategy implementation; problem identification and resolution; and process training and leadership. The Proposal Manager will support RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and oral presentations across the corporation. This individual will possess expert level understanding of the Shipley Proposal Development processes and will be responsible for continually improving upon them and promoting them across the organization.
